For myself personally, I'm nearing a point where I'd prefer to turn off all zone indicators and HUD icons because it makes the game too predictable over time. The animals are coded to use them regardless of whether we've discovered them so it's best to think of them as your own personal map. The rest of the meat to need zones is mostly speculation. This is easy to notice given that Vurhonga defaults to the same time (early morning) every time you start a new game and first travel there. The zones may disappear or overlap in your map depending on which ones you've discovered first and their vicinity to one another, but you will find all of those animals there again the next day. If you enter stealthily, you'll find Gemsbok, Warthogs, and Kudus all using roughly the same zone.
A perfect way to observe this would be to test one of the first missions in Vurhonga Savanna that has you dismantle the poachers' traps at a nearby body of water. That's normal - and you should find both animals congregating in the same area at their respective zone times if you were to return.
